City of Boise leaf collection sites to close on Dec. 11
BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — According to a recent news release, leaf collection sites in Boise are closing soon. Boise residents can drop off leaves and leaf bags at seven collection sites around the city through Monday, Dec. 11, at sunset.
After the sites close, yard waste can still be set out weekly at the curb or alley in compost bins in as many as 10 leaf bags per week. Leaves can also be taken to the Ada County Landfill until Dec. 16.
Republic Services says nearly 90 tons of leaves were collected at Boise's leaf collection sites in November. Leaves are taken to the City of Boise's compost facility and returned as free compost at two give-back sites. Boise residents can use the compost to improve local soil health.
