Dan Orlovsky believes Dalvin Cook should RUN to the Jets and pair up with Aaron Rodgers

The New York Jets are a completely different team heading into the 2023-24 NFL season. The team which now has Aaron Rodgers as the floor general and great talent around him that will complement his skillset is bound to be one of the most-watched teams this year. However, despite their great roster and valuable acquisitions, the New York Jets are not yet fully satisfied with their team.

The team hosted Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook over the weekend, a player who the team has made it no secret that they would love to have on board. A deal between Dalvin Cook and the New York Jets was considered to be a done deal after the RB appeared on NFL Network’s Good Morning Football and indicated that the odds of him signing with the Jets were “pretty high.”

However, following his visit to the Jets, Cook and his agent have not stated anything which may lead fans to believe that the RB is most certainly going to sign with the Jets. ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky believes that Dalvin Cook should be gunning to play alongside Aaron Rodgers in the Big Apple. The analyst had this to say on Get Up.

“A 100 percent he (Dalvin Cook) should sign with the Jets. From his perspective, it is the best team that he can go join from the teams that have been reported (to have interest in signing Cook) the Jets, the Patriots, and the Dolphins.”

Dan Orlovsky does not want Dalvin Cook to let the opportunity to team with Aaron Rodgers slide past him

Dan Orlovsky goes on to justify his thoughts on why Cook should sign with the Jets, “They are a true contender, real contender…he (Cook) can step in, he knows the scheme and…have an immediate impact. This is a no-brainer…Dalvin Cook we know can play at an incredibly high level and this would be a team that sits there and goes ‘We want to play 20 plus games this year and so it makes sense to have depth. This is not a need but it is a luxury addition….If you’re the Jets, you should want Dalvin Cook and if you’re Dalvin Cook, you should be running to the Jets.”

The addition of Dalvin Cook would greatly benefit the Jets, as it would primarily help the team ease Breece Hall back into action following his torn ACL. Cook is a quick learner and will take no time to understand and execute Robert Saleh’s playbook to perfection, and having a solid back like him would solidify the Jets offense as it would result in the creation of threats in the passing game as well as the team’s run-game.
