Harvey Leeds Joins Live Nation's New York Operation
NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Industry veteran Harvey Leeds has signed on with Live Nation's New York office where he will report to New York President Rob Morrow, Billboard.biz reported.
Leeds will be working on creating a number of special events, including a ukulele festival starting on July 21st. Leeds will also be involved in the ongoing artist development series held at Live Nation's Blender Theatre in New York in conjunction with radio station WRXP.
Before joining Live Nation, Leeds spent a long career at Sony, and according to Billboard, retired last March after 35 years. Leeds has also been running his own management shop, Headquarters Media, where he represents a number of clients, including the Dresden Doll's Amanda Palmer and New Found Glory along with various consulting projects.
"I'm psyched to be raising the Headquarters flag at the Live Nation New York office, and working with Kevin Morrow and (Live Nation New York Chairman) Ron Delsener is the ultimate encore," Leeds told Billboard "I have been given a blank canvas to paint on and the freedom to use all my media, touring and record company experience within Live Nation. There are no rules or walls-this is a rock and roll dream come true." – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
