Helicopter activity scheduled for transmission line maintenance: Salmon to Blackbird
SALMON, Idaho (CBS 2) - Beginning June 12th, Idaho Power Company will begin the second stage of a project to maintain the power transmission line between Salmon and Blackbird.
The second stage of the project is scheduled for June 13th, 14th, and 15th, where poles and cross arms will be transported via helicopter near Williams Creek Summit to the work sites.
The helicopter will be on site in the staging area on June 12th.
Weather delays would result in this work continuing until the end of June.
After this time, work on replacing approximately 65 power poles and approximately 29 on-structure repairs of cross arms will begin within the power line right of way between Salmon and Blackbird ending around the end of November 2019.
