It's a bird, it's a plane...it's a balloon; worm-like object seen floating in Calif. sky

PASO ROBLES, Calif. (FOX26) — A strange and large object was spotted floating high in the sky Tuesday morning over Paso Robles.

Those who spotted it said they were working around 10:00 a.m. when somebody happened to look up and saw the object high up in the sky.

In the video, you can hear the man recording question what he sees.

At the end of the second video, the men state that they can see what looks like a string hanging off one of the ends of the floating object.

FOX26 found out that the object was actually a "Solar Balloon."

The balloons can be purchased online and even at large retail stores like Walmart.

Although it is legal to own and fly, this one looks as though it may have gotten away from its owner as it is floating way too high.

The Paso Robles Municipal Airport said they also spotted the object and kept an eye on it, but no aircraft were affected.
