Patricia Neal was an American actress. She won the Academy Award for Best Actress for Hud (1963).
Patricia was the daughter of Eura Mildred (Petrey) and William Burdette Neal. She was raised in Knoxville, Tennessee. Patricia had five children with her former husband, British novelist, short story writer, and poet Roald Dahl, including Olivia Dahl, author and actress Tessa Dahl, social justice and health care advocate Ophelia Dahl, and screenwriter Lucy Dahl. Among their grandchildren are, through Tessa, author and model Sophie Dahl, and through Lucy, fashion designer, philanthropist, and activist Phoebe Dahl.
