Tamra does booty band workouts to "activate your glutes and engage your hips through resistance training, giving you a tight, lifted booty," she said. Lower-body workouts are key. "Legs are the foundation for most activities," says Vijay Daryanani, a physical therapist at Harvard-affiliated Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital tells Harvard Health. "They're home to some of the body's largest muscles, and building healthy legs can improve one's performance, reduce injury, and increase endurance."
Eddie remains a trainer at Cut Fitness in Orange County. He works with Tamra as her personal trainer, and the two work out as a pair. "Strength training may enhance your quality of life and improve your ability to do everyday activities. Strength training can also protect your joints from injury. Building muscle also can contribute to better balance and may reduce your risk of falls. This can help you maintain independence as you age," says the Mayo Clinic.
Tamra gives each part of her body attention. She does planking, side planks and the plyometric box. "Plyometrics, such as jumping exercises, also build muscle power. The rapid acceleration as you leap into the air and then the rapid deceleration as you land increase your ability to produce explosive power—for example, darting across the street when a car ignores the crosswalk sign or chasing after a toddler headed for trouble. Exercises such as medicine ball throws increase upper-body power, so you're better able to catch a box of oatmeal if it falls from a shelf," says Harvard Health.
Tamra and Eddie endorse the benefits of CBD on health and wellness. Tamra started a company with Eddie called Vena Wellness to promote the benefits of CBD.
Tamra started "operation quarantine slim down" while stuck at home. "I've cut carbs. No sugar! Limited alcohol, reduced my caloric intake 😋 upped my cardio, upped my protein!" she said. "Current body fat is higher than I'd like it to be, but that will change with consistency. First week sucks but I'm motivated."
