Your weekend guide to McCall and Boise's best events
BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — There are a lot of fun things happening this weekend.
Starting with the McCall Winter Carnival, you can enjoy over 100 events, including an ice sculpture competition, live music, parades, and fireworks. The carnival starts Friday, Feb. 23, and runs through Sunday, Feb. 25.
If you stay in Boise this weekend, you can head to the Beer and Chili cook-off at Sockeye Brewing. For $20, you will get two drink tokens, a stainless steel pint, and 15 tickets for tasting the chili.
If you are looking for a low-key night, Boise Bike Project is hosting a movie night to screen "The Street Project," a documentary about the issues with road safety and how we can improve. The movie is $10. Your ticket will also get you a beer or popcorn.
If you feel fancy this weekend, grab your tickets to Opera Idaho's Debut of 'Romeo and Juliette". There are showings on Friday and Sunday nights at the Morrison Center for the Performing Arts. The Opera will be in French with English subtitles shown above the stage.
However you choose to spend your weekend, CBS2 hopes you have a great one.
